Christian religion does not have the concept of the void, the illusion of everything. The religious egregor of Buddhism has this concept. It has been introduced gradually. Buddhism discusses the Void, which is in everything and at the same time contains the entire illusion, which seems stunningly real and stunningly material. It is linked to the perception that everything that we experience is just illusionary imagining, illusionary experience, which starts melting if we perceive the real nature of everything around us. I think it is important to approach this phenomenon in moderation. Persons who do not have experience in the spiritual practices approach this concept during crisis in their life. They approach it through pain, dramas, when the entire outlook starts swaying, when “the world axis” is shaking. This happens when the entire life is being shaken. Then it seems that there is no foundation under the feet. It seems that there is no difference whether good or bad, death or life, moral or immoral come next…During these shaking moments a person approaches the illusionary nature of everything.
Nevertheless, it is important to have this concept in our consciousness, but we have to approach it in a harmonious and conscious way. What do I mean? We need to have this concept in our consciousness to be able to maintain balance. For instance, the sign of Libra is vividly expressed now. Four planets (Jupiter, the Sun, Mercury, and Mars) are positioned in it. Therefore Libra-like lessons can be learnt easier than ever. There would be no use of traditional scales if they had just an axis or just one plate. I would like to apply the image of scales to illustrate the balance of two energies. Let’s put Yin energy on one plate and Yang energy on another plate. Yang energy represents the model of the spiritual growth. This model represents efforts. It speaks of the necessity to develop, form one’s life, change environment and oneself, and become the master of one’s life. However, when a person is making every effort, forming and forming his life, often he notices that it is impossible to change everything at once, to learn everything at once. It is impossible to do this because he is not perfect. Often a person approaches frustration, exhaustion, and willingness to give up everything. What could help him now?
You should look now at another model of the spiritual growth. This model is linked to Yin, the female energy. In the spiritual way we have the female energy (the female principle), which invites us to look at the world in a different way, i.e. to see that it is already perfect the way it is. You perceive that everything has its own time. You perceive that you can love everything the way it is. You perceive that it is important to open yourself for the flow of the world. It is important to welcome it and flow. It is important to learn to adjust to this flow, to calm down, to subside, to be submissive to the entire life flow. It is important to perceive and feel that everything is nothing more but the play of Maya illusion, just like reflections in the water.
What do the greatest Buddhism tantras, the discourses of Prajnaparamita tell us about the concept of Shunyata? What do they say about difficulties, people, and phenomena? They say: “Look at them as if they were the bubbles of rain, which occur on the water surface. Look at them as if they were the tricks of an illusionist.” We can look this way at people, problems, images, and everything else.
We can maintain balance and stability if we are operating with both models in us and perceive that everything is emptiness, Maya, stunningly real illusion. Try to feel when you have to make every effort. There are moments when persistence is needed, when you have to change reality, when Yang, the paternal energy, has to wake up in you. Try to feel when you have to stop, listen and perceive that despite the greatest endeavor life is the great play, illusion, and emptiness. You are the main player, who can look and see that everything is already perfect the way it is. Subside and rest. Everything can wait and rest. Everything is already perfect. Here comes the need to learn to recognize which model is needed in different situations: when it is more important to open, listen, wait, and feel the illusionary nature of everything, the emptiness…and when it is necessary to act immediately.
The great wisdom is needed to be able to combine these two models: Yang model (the model of development, action, and change) and Yin model (adjust, flow, open, and love the world the way it is). These two models disagree, but wisdom and our inner spiritual core, the spiritual vertical of our life, can help us to combine them.
